Osteopathy

A fundamental aspect of an osteopath is to try to understand why your pain and dysfunction is occurring. Understanding the why is more important than the what. Low back pain may be caused by a restriction in your hips, neck pain may be caused by stiffness in your mid-back, or calf pain may be due to poor gluteal strength or ankle stiffness. The list goes on.

Osteopaths are university-trained practitioners that utilise a thorough case history, examination and treatment to understand your body. All of our osteopaths have an array of treatment techniques to draw upon. These can include soft-tissue massage, dry-needling, myofascial cupping, taping, joint articulation and manipulation.

Who and what does an Osteopath treat?

Anyone from infants, children, adults to the elderly can benefit from osteopathy. Common conditions an osteopath may help manage are:

  • Lower back pain
  • Sports injuries – muscle tears or acute trauma
  • Neck and shoulder pain
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Postural aches and pains
  • Jaw or sinus issues
  • Pregnancy related pain & discomfort
  • Degenerative issues

At Limbr, our consultations don’t just end after treatment. Achieving fantastic treatment outcomes can only occur via patient education and exercise prescription.

In order for the full effects of treatment to be achieved, the treatment must be consolidated by behaviour corrections and rehabilitation exercises.
