Ben Gill

Osteopath, Clinical Pilates

Ben is an osteopath and Pilates instructor who genuinely enjoys getting to know the person behind the problem. He takes the time to listen, understand what’s getting in the way, and work with you to find an approach that feels achievable in real life – not just on the treatment table.

His style combines hands-on osteopathic treatment with movement, exercise and straightforward advice. Rather than simply telling you what’s “wrong”, Ben wants you to understand what’s going on, feel confident in your body and have a clear idea of what you can do to help yourself between appointments.

With a background in Reformer Pilates, Ben has a particular interest in movement and rehabilitation. Through osteopathy, Clinical Pilates and Reformer Pilates, he enjoys helping people rebuild strength and mobility following pain or injury, tailoring treatment and exercise to each person’s needs, goals and abilities.

Ben also has a particular interest in pain science and how the nervous system, stress, sleep, emotions and movement can influence the way we experience pain. He enjoys helping people understand why pain can sometimes persist even after an injury has healed, make sense of their symptoms and feel less apprehensive about movement.

Most importantly, Ben wants people to feel comfortable, heard and involved in their care. Whether the goal is getting back to sport, returning to exercise, keeping up with family or simply getting to a place where pain is no longer the focus of their day, he works with each person towards what matters to them.

Outside the clinic, Ben enjoys swimming, Pilates and strength training. Before becoming an osteopath, Ben worked as an electrician in Germany, where he lived for several years and became fluent in German, he has a love of travel, experiencing different cultures and good food.
